This ring was set with 24,679 diamonds, which earned its name in the Guinness Book of Records.

This ring is manufactured by DWA, a leading diamond jewelery manufacturer in India. It was designed by Rijisha TV, a graduate of Lifestyle Accessories Design from the National Institute of Design. It took a total of 90 days to prepare.

What is special about that ring that broke the Guinness record

The design of this ring is inspired by the pink oyster mushroom. The ring originally contained 12,638 diamonds. However, after finishing and retouching, it was completed with 24,679 heroes. The company said it was proud that this achievement was achieved in Kerala and not in Belgium. Belgium ranks first in the production of diamond jewelry.

This is not the first time a diamond ring has set a world record. Even before that, in 2020, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh-based jewelery designer Harshit Bansal produced a ring studded with 12,638 diamonds, which earned him a Guinness World Record. Harshit is the Managing Director of M/s Renani based in City Bullion.

Bansal named the ring "The Marigold" because it was designed like a marigold flower. The ring weighs 165 grams and is studded with 38.08 carats of diamonds. It took Harshit three years to prepare it. Before Harshit Srikkanth from Hyderabad had made a ring with 7,801 diamonds in a 'spherical abstract' design and Harshit set this new record by adding more diamonds.

The world's most expensive diamond belonged to India

Kohinoor is said to be the most expensive diamond in the world. The Kohinoor is a 105.6 carat diamond that is oval in shape and is one of the most expensive diamonds. It is said to have been found in India in the 1300s. Britain took it in 1850 and Prince Albert replaced it in 1852, changing the 186 carat diamond to 105 carats. This special type of diamond is also known as the Mountain of Light and the Babur Diamond.
